This is a great extensive list of what to pack. I’m not a dressy person so I typically only bring 1 dressier outfit just in case, and the makeup stays home. It is so much easier to pack more items since the invention of the packing cubes. Best creation ever! I wear Vosque hiking boots and absolutely love them, but I agree, good hiking boots are a must!

I’ve got most of these, but I don’t have a lifestraw yet! I was literally just thinking about how I need one the other day. This is a great reminder for me to add that to my own backpack ASAP.

In reply to Hazel. Tourist sandals are one of our favorite travel shoes and we recommend buying a pair when visiting warm places. Thanks for your kind words, Hazel! Traveling minimally is hard but it's much easier when you're heading to exotic destinations with a backpack.

This is so brilliant! Thank you for putting everything in this very detailed and comprehensive post! I should get a pair of sandals like that… i remember breaking my walking shoes and have to borrow from my sister something like that.. and boyyyy they were so comfy to walk in! I’m so amazed with people who can fit everything in a backpack and travel with it! I have little luck fitting my stuff in one! Haha!
